Le Materie Alabastro

Coated coir rugs with special polymers that make them slightly water-repellent, as well as softened to the touch.

Maintenance:

• Washable in cold water, not in home or industrial washing-machines
• Le materie Alabastro is packaged in a jute sack, to flatten the surface, simply extract the rug and lay it upside-down
• The rug requires a period of stabilisation in which the fibres relax, and sometimes release residual grains of sand from the drying process - Avoid lengthy exposure to direct sunlight (natural fibres are photosensitive)
• To clean, simply brush with a broom or use a carpet beater
• For safety, we recommend using a non-slip under-mat, indispensable on wooden floors or carpets, also to prevent any colour staining.

• Avoid the build-up of excessive dirt on the surface of the rug by washing it frequently, otherwise cleaning could be difficult.
• For washing, entrust the rug to a centre specialised in oriental rug cleaning and ask for it to be washed flat in plenty of cold water and neutral detergent. Natural drying is certainly the best method, slower but better able to respect the structure of the fibres and the pigment. In any case, the rug should always be dried with cold air
• The use of an anti-slip undermat, produced according to G.T.DESIGN specs, is strongly advised for viscose rugs, indispensable on wooden floors, carpets and marble. Its use, as well as prolonging the life of the rug, also has the pleasant effect of softness and thermal-isolation
• Never use adhesive tape or other materials containing glue directly on the rug, neither on the front or the back.

Polyester rugs with a cotton base. Polyester offers high resistance to breakage and abrasion. It is resistant to light, humidity and micro organisms and doesn't degrade over time. It is long-lasting and easy to maintain.

Colours and sizes: Le Materie rugs are available in sizes: 170 x 240 cm and 200 x 300 cm. Le Materie Argento are available in round sizes 220 cm.


Maintenance:

• For every-day cleaning simply use a medium-power vacuum cleaner
• Can be washed in water at specialised carpet cleaners. Quick-drying
