Nature and materiality: ArMo Design Studio’s project for a contemporary residence in Singapore

ArMo Design Studio‘s 72 NG Home project in Singapore combines modernist rigor with tactile sensibility, as G.T.DESIGN rugs complete an architecture founded on the dialogue between natural materials.

Founded by Maria Arango and Diego Molina after two decades leading high-end residential projects at ONG&ONG Pte Ltd, the studio adopts a comprehensive approach that balances timeless architectural principles with contemporary aesthetics. At 72 NG Home, clean modernist lines, raw materials, and a harmonious connection between interior and exterior spaces—enhanced by water features—define the residential experience.

ArMo Design Studio selected three G.T.DESIGN collections united by neutral palettes and natural fibers: In-Canto, hand-woven in shimmering bamboo viscose, characterizes both living areas with its luminous, tactile texture; Stairs, crafted in pure natural linen and lightweight bamboo fiber, brings softness and rhythm to the bedroom; In-Touch completes another living space, combining craftsmanship and comfort.

The chromatic choices reflect the studio’s design philosophy: earth, sand, and grey tones dialogue with concrete, wood, and stone, creating material continuity between architecture and furnishings. The rugs don’t merely decorate—they complete the spaces, adding tactile depth to a project where balance and timelessness guide every decision.
