“Pure” is the most intimate and foundational research of Deanna Comellini‘s work. A decennial work centered on imperfection, or “the infallible balance on which everything natural is founded.” From this research have come “rugs that have the vibrations of the atmosphere, the dryness of the earth, the softness of mosses, the shine of waters, the warmth of the sun. They are not decorative elements but portions of lands. They are sensory experiences through which rediscover the thrill of contact, the joy of being one with nature”.
