Deanna Comellini, G.T.DESIGN’s Founder and Creative Director, was selected on the prestigious list as a pioneering figure in design that continues to guide and inspire the industry through her unique talent and a strong commitment to product excellence and sustainability.
Deanna Comellini has worked for more than 40 years on the notion of the contemporary rug.
After studying in Bologna’s artistic environment in the 70s, she entered the design world in 1974, working with Italian architectural firms and furniture companies until 1977, when she founded G.T.DESIGN, taking on the designer and art director’s role. Her ongoing research into materials and forms brought her to revolutionize the world of textile design, transforming the rug into a new, meaningful object in a continuous intertwining of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge production techniques.
