During Milan Design Week 2024, G.T.DESIGN opened the doors of a new permanent space with an exhibition that attracted the attention of professionals and enthusiasts in the sector.

“La Cabina” was inaugurated during Fuorisalone, in Via Cino del Duca 2, in the Durini-Monforte district, in the center of Milan’s design district.

The space was designed to enhance the elegance and uniqueness of the collections, drawing inspiration from the masters of architecture of the 1930s and 1950s. The intimate and relaxed atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of the shop windows, facilitates the choice of tailor-made fabrics and finishes for the most exclusive projects.

From April 15 to 21, during Milan Design Week 2024, La Cabina hosted the exhibition “Deanna Comellini – Unique,” presenting a series of rugs and tapestries resulting from the designer’s relentless research. The works on display, original and unique pieces, are an expression of the highest Italian craftsmanship and creativity.

The exhibition design favored an artistic approach summed up in Deanna Comellini’s phrase: “Ce n’est pas un tapis, c’est un object” (It is not a rug, it is an object). The rug was reinterpreted, broken down, and displayed as a precious object.

La Cabina hosted the preview of several collections during Milan Design Week 2024:

Golden Threads stands out for its lightness: a New Zealand wool rug hand-woven with handcrafted gold foil inserts.

Paglietta has enriched its offering with a new and precious weave, confirming the excellence of Italian craftsmanship.

Golden Fleece features long-pile rugs made from fine natural fibers such as Afghan wool and linen, in different yarn blends.

Al Tratto, hand-woven on traditional looms, is characterized by subtle incisions similar to line drawings, imprinted on New Zealand wool.
